I purchased the jacket at Barney's, and the retail price was $2550. I was originially asking in the 1700-2000 range, but i've been dropping it down. SO. 1100, including shipping. i'd probably even take 1000 at this point.

Hey man,

It's a beautiful jacket, but if you really want to move it, you'll probably have to lower your price to around $700. I've sold a lot of used designer stuff on Ebay, and learned that lesson the hard way.

Even though leather designer jackets can be super-expensive, they definitely have a limit in the resale market. If this was black and a collectible Dior piece, then you could probably get that $1500, but I feel that D&G doesn't command that same premium resale value. Neither does Prada if you check out the completed Ebay auctions.

If I were in your shoes, I'd reshoot the jacket in natural outdoor light (slight shade) to really show off the leather quality and details. An on-figure shot (modeled on you) would go a long way to communicating its excellent fit. That way, you can maximize its appeal.

Anyway, it's a great piece and I wish you good luck with it!

well, the main reason i'm trying to sell it for around 1500 is that it's never been used...it still has the tag and everything. if i can't get 1500, i at least want over 1000. 1200 would be fine.

i'll definitely take some more pictures with me wearing it so that people can see the details of the fit, etc.

i agree that dolce and gabbana isn't that covetable on here, but it's a really nice jacket. it's not the d&g diffusion line-- it's the dolce and gabbana main line.

anyone willing to give me 1200?
