Pleated Pants and Explosions

I'm taking it to the streets with yet another inane question.

A couple months ago I got myself a few pairs of dress pants for work from Nordstroms. Having not really made this type of purchase prior, I just said fuck it and bought three pairs of pleated. Initially, they were okay by me, but nowadays I'm becoming a little annoyed by them.

My main complaint is that my shirt pokes out and makes a floppy tent in front, like a little floppy shirt-stomach. I suppose this is a result of the pants sitting right at my waist and not allowing alot of room for the shirt to settle.

Does anyone have this problem? Is there any solution short of buying new pants? I just blew over 500 on casual clothing and I don't really feel like dropping another 250 for dress pants only a few months after i bought these.
