washing jeans

i'm a newbie, been reading for a bit...great forum.

general/odd question here. the ones that do wash in a machine, do you leave your jeans buttoned/zipped up, or down? i'm wondering if it makes a difference?

I generally leave my jeans unbutton/unzippered...i feel washing it may put undue strain on the button otherwise....and I'm less concerned about the denim actually stretchin...

If you didn't already know, its best to flip your jeans inside out - to further the life of the wash...I actually do this to just about everything I'm concerned of ruinin...

And you should also air dry it flat...

unzipped...inside out...gentle cycle...lay flat to dry....

i highly recommend washing as little as possible....

My MindSpray suggests lying them flat to dry, I would add and say that it's even better to hang them. It may aid in vertical streak marks appearing on your jeans.

i do wash them inside out, and hang dry em...its just kinda baggy around the crouch...damn and i sized down too.

or you could not wash them and make like myself in 2-3 months and go cliff diving in your jeans then water skiing in aprrixiamtely 60 degree water with little to no washing powder.
