I semi-understand what you were aiming it, but to be honest, I have way too many close friends in Iraq right now to see someone (especially a non-American) belittle what they are doing over there (whether or not you agree with the war is another story).

No, I know that very well. A good friend of mine from Adelaide is stationed in Tikrit.

I made that comment because you posted a picture of an American soldier, not an Australian.

On a side note, Australia only has 1500 soldiers there and are pulling out in 6 months........so they aren't exactly 'fighting the same war' in its entirety (this statement should not be misconstrued to suggest that I don't appreciate the involvement of the Australian government).
