Well it's taken a few months but he has now paid me back so I guess there's no harm done.

Maybe if I had created this thread when it happened instead of trying to be the nice guy, it would have pressurised him into refunding me then, instead of creating all this bad feeling.

I've had a few PMs from people saying they've bought stuff from him and it's arrived as promised so it seems like this was just a genuine fuck up by the post office, although, why it's taken so long to sort out I don't know.

Thanks for your help guys. :)

there are services like escrow.com that acts like a middle man if you want security. havent used it myself so i dont know how much they actually rake in per transaction, but it sucks that so many people try to pull shit making these sorta things necessary. especially here where the community isnt so large and threads like waywt build a kind of camaraderie between members.

i hate to see this thread, since i have a low post count and use the supermarket.

maybe instead of the "+rep" thing meaning "ooh, cool outfit", it could be used to mean "yeah, hes a legit buyer/seller." ive sold 2 pair of sneakers here recently with no "credit" to show for it, but some dude with a cool t.shirt may have 20 "rep" things.

anyway. hate to see shadiness.

you can file a claim. that claim will then go under investigation and a ruling will be made. if its between 2 personal accounts however, the most they can do is withdraw funds from the wrongdoers paypal account, not the bank account it is linked to.at least thats what happened on my last claim i filed.

the best you can hope for usually is a moral victory. reversing payments made by credit cards i hear is a lot more common than pp reversals.
