i have found a super-cool shriners shirt.

was wondering if i may pick on youe expertise.

had a question that you may be able to help out on.

I have been eyeing up a shriners shirt on a website. it got camels and fez and pyramids and is by

Ashfield by duke of hollywood.

Do you know anything about this as a label?

the asking price is around US 400.

Is this a reasonable price for such an item?

Its in great condition.

an item recently went through ebay that had a different pocket detail and a label that said lucky Larue born in the bronx... item 290124628099 which got passed up for significantly less.

is there any chance that you would know about the authenticity of these labels?

any help you could give would be greatly appreciated.

i am often in honolulu, like now.

the coolest hawaiian shirt i have seen is a double named one in bailey's antiques.

it was manufactored by comme des garcons in japan under the close scrutiny by some hawaiian shirt's designer, whose name i cannot remeber and probably couldn't pronounce. the shirt was like 400 bucks. it has authentic fucking hawaiin fabric imported to japan and cork buttons. i don't wear hawaiin shirts, but if i ever did, surely this would be my first choice.

relax guy,

its a confusing world. Hawaiian shirts are terribly complex in their labelling and price.

the japanese shirts are some of the best quality and most expensive that you can get.

thanks for your help. when you see a label that is replicated by someone else is is difficult to ascertain quality if it not original.

so.. you are right. and this is the problem that i face now.

I have seen a shirt that i like. it is great.it was waaaaaaay too big.

and now i have found one that is my size and perfect.

but it has the identical same print and a different label and details etc...

its reall confusing.

just wanted to know if i am buying a replica copy shirt.

thanks for your interest dude.

Yohji Yamamoto makes a hawaiian shirt that you can wear with a black suit. Well, technically it's not the kind of hawaiian with the allover print like you'd expect, but it's a shirt cut with a hawaiian style collar...come to think of it, i'm gonna buy one of those when i come across them, he does them pretty much every season.
