just bought Red Ear / Paul Smith raw denim jeans

Recommended Posts

I checked out the distressed version of the MIJ Red Ears today at Blue Bee in Santa Barbara. I may have to grab the raw ones from BiG in a few months as a birthday present for myself. The cut seemed worked well on me and denim felt nice (though, I don't think it felt markedly different than my 5EP dark worn).

Ive just read this blog here http://www.indigofan.com/indigofan/labels/PS%20Redear%20Selvedge.html and he says that Red Ears are made in China ?

Got 2 pairs of the Made in China Raws featured in this article. Gotta say that they're the best pairs of jeans i've ever owned. The quality, fade, fit and detailing is second to none (IMO).

If I could still pick 'em up, i'd jump at the chance.

I would advise wearing your Jeans for a bit. Maybe for 6 months as previousely mentioned. I would then soak them in Cold water for a few minutes with some kind of mild soap(Organic) to get rid of any smells and to rid the jeans of the ground in Dirt. Again rinse the soap off with cold water for a few minutes. Hang dry the Jeans and do not use the dryer. I never really advise dry cleaning because it is not natural. Jeans should wear naturaly just like back in the day. The Red Ear Made in Japan Jeans will give off much dye with the 1st washing. The second washing should not yeld much dye at all. The Jeans will shrink aproaxamatly 7%. They will then stretch back about 3% due to the loose weave.
