Matsuda. Any information?

I am new here. My question is regarding Matsuda. Does anybody have any information about the label? Seemingly there is a lack of it on the internet. Thank you.

Now there is a bit of a blast from the past. Matsuda was a bloody genius, but thought fashion in Japan was dead--so he moved to NYC. It did not go according to plan, and I beleive the house closed down shortly thereafter; however, we are talking about over eight years ago--so my information is dated and could be flawed.

I know that the eyewear license is still active, and is at the higher end of the spectrum comparable with Oliver Peoples, Cutler & Gross, etc.

I believe the label was produced by Nicole & Co?

will post some pics of me doing A/W tokyo matsuda catwalk around 1994 as soon as i find em. i think they stopped the following season. possibly due to my dodgy modelling skills/
