Parco Museum Hosts "Yo! What Happened to Peace?"

An Exhibition featuring Peace & Anti-War Posters by Top Graphic Artists

June 10 - June 26 2005

Opening Reception June 10, 7PM

Designed to spread the message of non-violence and showcase the beauty of hand-crafted printing, the exhibit will feature new works by an international artist roster. The show includes many American, Japanese and other international artists well known for their cutting edge and/or political design-works such as Shepard Fairey, Futura, Doze Green/Kenji Hirata/David Ellis (collaboration), Erotic Dragon, Chico Hayasaki, Madsaki, Jun Takahashi, Kashiwa Sato, Sasu, Robbie Conal, Eric Drooker, Winston Smith, Seth Tobocman, Genevieve Gauckler, Firehouse, Emek, Seripop, along with scores of others. Curated by graphic artist John Carr, the show was originally sponsored by and exhibited at Tokyo's CWC gallery and consisted of 14 posters. Now approximately 2 years later, the show returns to Tokyo with approximately 180 hand-crafted prints.

Yo! has also exhibited in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, New York City, Wasington DC, Rejkavik-Iceland and Milan-Italy, and will travel to Chicago and other cities after the Parco Tokyo show. Please visit parco-art.com and yowhathappenedtopeace.org for more information.
