Thinking of ordering a pair of jeans from the uniqlo webstore but I have a question about sizing. Most of what I've read says that they are pretty true to size. However, the size chart on the website has confused me a bit.

not sure if i understand you but i am a size 29 and i wear 76 for uniqlo. for the slim jeans, which is the only bottom i have bought from them so far, that would be one tad fitting but that is probably cos my legs are slightly thicker...
