achieving maximum shrinkage in APC cures

i recently bought a pair of apc old cures, waist size tagged 28

they have not been washed or soaked yet.

the waist and thighs are too baggy for me. any tips on shrinking them considerably?

I like to put them in the oven. between 475 and 500 degrees. about 40 minutes does the trick. You can also try the broiler

Doesn't anything cotton reach max shrinkage possible after 2-3 hot soaks 4-5 hours each soak + a few trips to the dryer .. inside out both wash/dry ??

Wont be starched afterwards though
