Decent basics? (other than AA)

Wondering if you guys new of any good brands selling your basics ala AA, must be available online/ebay.

AA or okay, but some cuts are lousy and often don't have the colour im looking for in a particular style.

surely the brilliant japanese might encompass a competitor?

basecontrol is supposed to be the japanese AA...i have yet to order anything from basecontrol but from wat i see, stuff looks great.

Basecontrol is the shit I'm pretty much set in terms of basic wear.

The Base Control stuff I have is nice, but N.B. the shirts are probably 7% longer than the standard AA 2001. The tams and hoodies are nice, though (and umbrellas!).

This isn't the most exotic option, but I also think Calvin Klein Underwear and Polo make nice, well-fitting undershirts suitable to be worn on their own.

I've never really been a fan of either Alternative or James Perse. Both fit odd, the Perse especially. The cotton is soft, but so flimsy and the collars are really wide. Just depends on your taste though, I guess.
