Go to Insadong, a street market with antiques, ceramics, calligraphy, and street performances on weekends (it's closed off to traffic on Sundays). There's lots of art galleries around that area. COEX is a big shopping mall with an aquarium and Kimchi museum built in, if that is your thing. Damdaemung market is cool for Asian-style shopping. Ha en god rejse.

there have been a few good posts on seoul on this forum... do a search :)

basically it's all about apgujeong / chungdam (upscale fashion / bars / restaurants), samchung (art galleries / cafes / traditional crafts), and hongdae (clubs / indie music / vintage shops).
