L.G.B. - Le Grand Bleu?

hi guys,

i just picked up a hoodie by L.G.B. from Archive in SF (great store). really cool feeling "carbon polyester", slim, long sleeves, etc. they have some great pieces by LGB, which looks to me like a cross b/t Neil Barrett and Nice Collective. some military inspiration in their jackets, also a lot of black, drab green, grey, and earth colors. pricepoint is moderately high - t-shirts ~ 150, hoodies ~ 300, jackets ~ 600+. the tag is black and says L.G.B. in white letters, and says LeGrand Bleu under it. i'm pretty sure it's a japanese company, but i can't seem to find out anything about it...it's very mysterious. a few pieces are on yoox but the stuff they have is not very representative of what i've seen in person, and i can't find it anywhere else...

anybody know anything about it? i like what i see but i've never really seen it before and there's not much info on it...?

i'd guess that they're french

the sizing is japanese i think (size 2) instead of european sizing, it is made in japan, and the tag says [email protected] or somehting like that. it's part of the "maniac company" whatever that means? i am pretty sure it is japanese, even though the name is french. very mysterious brand...at least to me. anybody have any info?

Haha, funny -- I tried on the LGB motorcycle jacket yesterday at the Archive. Beautiful leather and fit me like a glove, but $1100 pricetag. Ouch.

They are Japanese, but I know nothing about them other than what Arthur told me.
