Are these LVC STFs?

I picked these up on impulse, taking it for granted that they were LVC STFs, and would thus shrink down to about 34x35, which is what I need. However, on closer inspection, I realized that no where do they say LVC or STF (they are marked 501xx, but it doesn't say if they are preshrunk). So what's the deal? They have hidden rivets and very thin selvage.

Bought at a reputable dealer, so I know at least they're real Levis. (By George in Austin, by the way is having a 50% off all men's clothes as they get ready to stop selling men's clothes. Some nice Paul Smith, Earnest Sewns, etc in there.)

What does it say on the inside leg tag? They look like 1947s from the photos.

There should be a long tag inside

On one side it shoud say something like

The label on the top is from this year the other from last. The one on the bottom reads

865010115 which shows it is an 1886 501

If your are LVC 1947 501s they would say something like 4750101115

or if its this years

50147.01.16

So it looks like these are the 47 deadstock LVCs, in which case, I don't have to return them, but can throw they in a bucket instead.

I would say YES they are 47 501s RAW and were made in Tenn 643m (I think). I say just wear'm for a few months then soak'm. They should also be 12 oz raw. That is the proper weight for 40s & 50s Levis. That would put them a bit shy of 14 after shrinkage.

One related question Airfrog - I first got into STFs in the early 90s. I had a pair that were really, really tight. But recently, all the STFs I've purchased have had a much baggier fit - they seem to expand out from the waist. Does Levis change the fit, sort of evolve it all the time? It seems like it has changed a lot just in the past 10 years.

Last pair of STFs I bought and still have I got in the late 90s and are cut very similar to my LVC 55s which are really close to original 55s. I don't know about the current 501 STFs. The 47s are trim compared to originals from the era.

what the fuck, how old are those? I thought that this seasons LVC stuff wasnt gonna come in a 38 length?
