i hate to be the one that has to bitch about this but it must be said. im sure there will be a few people that insult me for even bringing this up, so i will list the "quality companies" i know of that do skinny

Nudie

DH

Julian Red

Iron Army

Somet

PBJ (XX-005 is pretty damn skinny, but not so tapered so this is kinda half and half)

Ande Whall

Skull

N (N) did a raw model

Red Moon (now at last)

Denime (check rakuten for their new skinny model)

Johnbull (SC-008)

but where are the skinny fits of

Sugarcane

Oni

Samurai

Fullcount

Flat Head

Warehouse

Studio D'artisan

45rpm (jomon slim, but not skinny)

and so many more. if there are skinny fits fore these companies please let me know, because i was tempted to get some oni natural indigo, but seeing the silhouette was so generous i was dissuaded. please use this as a list for all quality companies that have skinny fits, because i only wear skinny jeans. thanks in advance.

what? you mean to tell me that levis made absolutely no raw skinny denim at all? fuck. i guess i better read the lvc thread or something. let me rephrase. why are there no skinny fits on most of the japanese slubby and natural companies. 45rpm is not a repro company, but they have no raw/one wash skinny fit.

Have you ever looked at the 45rpm lookbook (Badou-R)? Nut hugging skinny jeans don't really fit the companies aesthetic.

How about Sugarcane? Their idea is vintage work wear. Do nut huggers fit there too?

All the lines are displayed in the lookbook...Generally they have a very similar aesthetic in all the lines.

You can always get things adjusted to your liking. I know many people like a taper on thier jeans, so they take them to a tailor and have them tapered how they like.

yeah i have, but what about the r and umii lines?

The BADOU-R AI 45 book showcases the collection from all 45rpm lines. If you want something slimmer from 45rpm, you may consider the women's Nando x Nando, which is available in 4 different cuts "New Slim, Classic Slim, Vintage and Straight."

"The Classic Slim makes a tight silhouette, which makes you think of the jeans worn by Steve McQueen in the 70’s. The ankle length New Slim cut might seem like an advanced version of jodhpurs. The loose cut of the Vintage model has a slight boyish feel – it’s a bit like girls wearing men’s jeans. "

they could be repros of jeans from the 60's and still be repros...*cough* levis 606 original slims *cough*...and whose to say they have to be repros anyway?...

every japanese repro company makes a 60's model jean. as for japanese companies making skinny jeans, there are plenty of them. But they're not the ones sold at bears, hinoya, americaya, etc. they're sold in more contemporary stores ie. slapshot has a VERY VERY skinny jean i tried on in june. don't have diors so can't compare, but they are the look that everyone loves here. selvedge as well. Somet also make a skinny jean. just because they're not mentioned here doesn't mean they're not made.

If you ever go into those denim shops in Osaka, you'll find that the general clientelle are not the trendy types, but instead are nouveau-bikers, rockabilly types, etc..

Also, I think the brands that are mentioned don't want to change their image all that much. Think about it: it generally takes about a year or more to get a pair of high quality jeans broken in. In 2008, there is a good chance that the skinny jean will be out.

this has been brought up before...

you're looking for a dior cut in a japanese company....? the solution is to buy dior. people have tried and failed with skulls. some of the other brands that might come close aren't available outside japan. so just buy dior.

But he already has those and he's only bought 15 pairs of jeans this year!

Samurais skinny jean is the 710.

i was looking into this, and i don't really know how this is true. The measurements except the hem measure exactly the same as the S5000BK. And it says that the S0710BK is based off the 66xx cut they have, which isn't that tight/skinny. Man, samurai is so confusing. Is there another 710 other than the Black?

Huh... Thats weird... The 710s I have have a smaller leg opening, and black pocket stitching.

Samurai in general, is very confusing.

WX, VX, XX, blahblahblah.

Many people came in today to discuss this, and so far, we havent reached a conclusion.

Some say the wx (i think) is the import model, when us and blue green have both WX and VX models... Or alternating models. Dunno. Gonna figure this out right now, then I'll report back.
