Deadstock 502's HEMMED!

So, I took the day off yesterday and came home for Thanksgiving. Had nothing to do, so I made my ussual rounds to the thrift stores around my parents house. No joke, on my way to Savers I said to myself, "No more Levis, unless they are deadstock or big E." I swear. So I hit the denim rack first, almost picked up a pair of black Gloria Vanderbilt's, and then I saw these:

Unfortunately someone hemmed them to about a 23 inch inseam

Anyone know anything about K's on the top button? I know that LVC's have R on the button, and I know 502's are kids jeans I think, so does the K mean Kids or something?

It sucks, they come up to about halfway up my calf. They fit in the waist almost perfect, a little tight. It's a shame someone would do that to a pair of jeans and then not even wear them.

I was thinking the same thing, when I cuff them they come up to just under my knee. They'd have good lap fade, and possibly some honeycombs.

looks like the selvage on those started off kinda faded red/pink. i always assumed they started off with a bright red line then through washing the line faded to a pink. guess i was wrong?
