1955 501s photos raw new

These are the 1955 501s I just bought from Dejan. The denim is heavy and very dark. Not as full cut as my 1933 501s from 2000. A similar fit to late 90s STF 501s. These are great jeans.

How much did you pay for them? Do they fit true to size pre-wash?

They are going to shrink like you ain't never seen my man. I bought some 38 waists a few months back ( I wear a 36). After the soak they about cut me in half.

Got rid of em. Hope you wanted a 36 waist or NEVER wash em. Maybe you will have better luck than me with them.

Hot or cold soak Damnlam ?

I had some a while ago and they got a cold soak back then and they didnt shrink terribly much.

Yeah this heavier denim doesn't stretch back like the 10oz stuff does. They measure 39 inches and will shrink at least two inches in the waist. Dejan has them listed on his site for $199.00. They are nicier than what I expected. The red line denim is OUTSTANDING.

To be exact they were $32.51 + shipping and "have some writing on the inside pocket" ...I believe ... as I was watching the EXACT pair same size and that's what it ended at .. whats your eBay name hmmmm air ..?? :-)

Insane indeed, especially since anything to or from Germany usually takes a minimum of 2 weeks. At least, that's how it was the last time I shipped to or from Germany.

one thing I didn't think about is that the ones I missed ( though they look identical ) were small E and yours are obviously LVC BIG e's ...

They are the exact same semi-streaky denim that I never knew levi's put out though .. THUS what made me REALLY think they were one and the same ..

My 555 1933s are looser before the soak than these fall 06 55s. My 555 33 are fuller than the 03 ones I had. All with the samed tagged waist. The 33s 10 oz wil lstretch back more easily that the heavier 55s.

They (33s) are a fuller cut in the seat and thighs. I also meant to say my 33s have been soaked and are fuller than the 55s unsoaked still raw.

Yeah, the 33s are baggier than the 55s which is baggier than the 47s.

I would call them both medium rise. Low rise jeans didn't become fashionable until the 1960s.
