Shrinking Part of Your Jeans?

Dose any body have any experance with shrinking parts of there jeans? I have a pair of dry levi's that i want to shrink the lower legs on. And a pair of APC's that i would liek to shrink the waist on. Has any body every done this? Dose it look bad? Can you tell?

When shinking the lower legs on the Levi's. Will it make them "skinnyer"

Um... instead of trying to shrink something, why don't you just take them to a tailor or buy a sewing machine and fix them?

Did some spot shrinking at the waist myself. It looks all right. I might do it again, as there may still be some room for shrinkage. Of course, I think that from now on I'll have to get them dry-cleaned, as the rest of the jeans fit perfectly.

I definitely hot soaked the legs on my Edo Ais a few times when the waist just couldn't stand the shrinkage. It helped out considerably on the length and I don't need to get them hemmed anymore.

Thanks, i soaked mine and they are qutie a bit better now. Thanks for the advice/reassuance
