no wash

I just got this Pierre Henri Mattout polo, and the washing instructions

says "No wash - Only Drycleaning"

Could i handwash it? could i machine wash it cold?

or will the shirt be destroyed?

minor shrinkage is not a problem.

it's 100% cotton.

if its 100% cotton and the material seems normal then I'd just go ahead and hand wash it.. I've machine washed "no wash" stuff too with some "delicate" program, no problems. get some detergant thats meant for sensitive/delicate garments, theres the kind that you can use both in hand wash and machine wash too.

I guess some brands like to put "dry clean only" to avoid people justy throwing the garment in the washer and shrinking them.
