Yes they will! The indigo will get all over everything. You will have blue hands and legs. This is not a bad thing though. I'm excited because I am getting a pair of deadstock jeans on friday and I haven't worn a pair of deadstock indigo jeans for like 2.5 years! aaaah, a blank canvas!

to test the non-colorfastness, take a white paper towell and wet it with warm water, and give your jeans one little wipe, it will be blue.

Live is too short for bad denim!

No, sanforising has little effect on the bleeding of indigo.

Maybe you are looking to describe the mercerising process. Some denims are mercerised after woven (as opposed to mercerised threads), whilst not exactly stabilising the indigo (indigo by nature is very unstable), this process does change the colour somewhat.
