LVC 201 Modification Advice

Hey guys,

Just snagged these babies off the 'bay for a bargain:

The problem, as you can see, is that the guy (bless his heart) has turned them into SHORTS!

So now I'm trying to figure out what I should do with these... should I get the hem chainstitched and keep them as jean shorts, or should I try and find some way to attach some new pant legs to them (a la the LVC cut and shut models)?

The guy should be shot for cutting those off. Those are some of the best of the LVCs. I say have'm chain stitched and wear'm as shorts.

Yeah, not too many options now. Wear them as shorts.

Keep them as shorts. They are likely to be the only LVC 201xx shorts on the planet.

Forget that advice above. Cut those things shorter and hack a few holes in them. They were only $20, so who cares.

Restore them with some other pant legs and add some knee patches in the from to hide the seam. I hate jorts.

So what does he do; search out more of the incredlble blue/green line denim? Might be knida hard to find.

Just try and match the color with some thrift store Levis would be my guess, I don't think it has to be perfect to make it more interesting than jorts. Just my opinion though, some people like the cut off jeans thing, I just happen to think it looks pretty awful.

The blue line stuff is so different than the red line or todays denim. The color and texture is different. Kinda hard to explain...

Capri'ish shorts are in now .. Have them hemmed by a competent tailor and leave them as summer wear . For $20 USD and the thrill of having blue line cuffs on a pair of shorts - I would be happy ..
