Mac or PC

As i am going away to study graphic design

this fall, i've been thinking about buying a laptop.

Almost every graphic designer use Mac, but the

price of a Mac is almost double the price of a PC.

So, is it really worth spending the extra money

to but a Mac?

p.s. I dont really have THAT much money to spend.

If you are going to be studying Graphic Design then a Mac is essential, since the whole industry is almost exlusively Mac based.

Pic up a second hand or reconditioned Mac to get you through college, that's what I did.

I've still got my trusty G4 running at home.
