slim/skinny selvage chinos + welt pockets = ?

hey guys - total newb over here. loving all the info about denim. thanks!

fortunately/unfortunately, i'll soon be starting a job where denim will not be tolerated - or at least, not "jeans". "chinos" are permissible, and there are lots of khakis around here (you know: gap, banana, etc). i've been looking at Roy and N&F, however, their chinos have rear patch pockets, so they'll likely be wrongly classified as more similar to "jeans" at my workplace rather than chinos, so they'll likely be frowned upon. I was wondering if you had any suggestions. I saw the LFNY duck chinos, and while the fabric/construction looks great (including welt rear pockets), they aren't quite as slim/skinny as I'd like (the thights on my pants run 10.5-11.5"). I've been going with levi's 510 "skinny trousers" for now which have a nice fit, but was hoping for something with a bit more soul (and some selvage so I could proudly show some cuff). Was hoping for black, indigo, or khaki. Let me know!

1. have the LFs tapered

2. go full custom

3. modify a pair -- take off patch pockets, sew in welt pockets

I'd probably choose #2, or just be happy with the slightly looser fit from LF.

Not all cuts for the lfny chinos are the same as the ones featured in the contest. I'd them out again.

yea, i heard there was some rumor of a run of the indigos being done but cut a little slimmer sometime in the future, which would be nice. i may have to try them out again. all of these chinos advertising cone mills indigo canvas (e.g. LFNYC, roy, old blue) - is it all the same fabric?
