Good boutiques in NYC

I'm not quite sure whether or not there has been a thread like this yet (I tend to only lurk around the supermarket) but I was wondering what boutiques in NYC are worth hitting up? I've been to Aloha Rag, Atelier, Jeffrey, and all the designer store fronts on or around 5th.

I was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions that would be worth hitting up? Going soon and want a to-do/to-see list!

P.S. Also looking for boutiques that sell Balmain... I've seen it at Aloha and Jeffrey... anywhere else?
