Heading up to Munich for a couple of nights. Looking for some recommendations on shops, cool bars, places to hang out, somewhere to get a good haircut.

munich's great. just got back from a weekend there. not much going on there as far as nightlife goes (afaik) but there's plenty excellent beer to be had.

hit up the hofbrauhaus while there- quite touristy but really fun. have a liter of some of bavaria's finest beer- though i do like augustiner better and i think most germans would agree.

all the food at brauhauses around munich are fucking great. sturdy german dishes that will fill you up for days. if you've gotta choose go for some roast pork knuckle or weisswurst- bavarian specialties.

i can't really recommend the hofbräuhaus. the one time i was there the beer tasted like it was watered down, unlike anything else you could get there in a regular bar
