Rick Owens SS ‘10 Draped Top/Tunic, Style RO 1105

Details: Black silk-blend jersey strap tunic/top. Rick Owens dress has a draped round neck, shoulder straps that can be twisted, draped side and asymmetrical, unfinished hem. It can be worn numerous ways -- abundance of fabric on one shoulder allows it to be draped over one shoulder if desired, but it is simplest to wear this tunic simply as a tank top with two straps on the shoulders. It is simply pulled on. 85% rayon, 15% silk.

Size: IT 44

Color: Black- but this is RO jersey black, which means in daylight, it will have strong undertones of brown, maroon. In fluorescent lighting, it will be simply black. Anyhow, if you are a vampyre, no need to go out during the day; no need to worry over your blacks matching...

Measurements: As those of you familiar with Rick Owen’s sizing know, his jersey pieces tend to be cut very, very narrowly. I typically wear an IT 38, but depending on the look I want, I can achieve a looser fit without looking like I’m wearing something that is improperly “too big” by sizing up in RO. (This works for almost everything from recent RO womenswear that’s sleeveless and/or that is meant to be layered.)

Measurements: I don’t think that the shoulder arm measurements will help as much as telling you that I wear a IT 38 in Rick leather jackets.

Bust is apprx: 36”

Base of one armhole to hem: 22”

Base of the other armhold to hem: 13.5”

The hem can be loosened and worn around the waist and this piece worn as a top. Pulled longer, it can serve as a tunic.

Item: M.A+ F/W 09 (washed calf) "Staple" 2-pocket Tapered-Jeans Style Leather Pants.

Details: The heavy washed calf pants are cut to fit like tapered, skinny jeans. The washed calf leather is extremely thick, yet soft and supple. The colour of the leather, indicated as black, possesses an inky, green tone, characteristic of M.A+ leather goods. The pants feature belt loops and zip fly topped with an additional silver hook closure. Riri zip closure. Fly and pocket top stitch finished by hand. Sterling silver M.A+ at the inside of the leg.

ITEM: Rick Owens LILIES Drape Back Jersey Top with Doubled Fabric. New Unworn Sz IT 38. Lilies style 7126

Description: this is a draped top that features doubled fabric which folds over at the hem so that, unusually for Rick Owens, the hem is not unfinished. Fabric from the front drapes to the back where it becomes a draped panel, under which is a ruched body (though you will rarely see the ruched details.)

Size: IT 38, fits comfortably. For reference, I wear an IT 38 in all Rick, including leather jackets. In many cases, I prefer a larger top, so I will size up, but this is a rare instance in which I would not because this top would not work well were it to fit loosely.

Fabrication: 70% Rayon, 15% Nylon, 15% Cotton. Wonderfully soft and comfortable.

Condition: Brand New, unworn, save for taking photos.

Color: Fluoro - a bright white

These are one of my favorite pairs of jeans. I own two pairs of these - one is a backup - and I'm wearing my own pair in these pictures. I am selling the new and unworn pair. (They are unworn not withstanding that I tried them on once to make sure sizing was consistent, which it is.)

ITEM: Rick OWENS DRKSHDW Detroit Cut Jeans sz 28 x 36 new and unworn

I have accumulated a lot of jeans -- a lot of DRKSHDW -- in particular over the years. And I think I have 2 pairs of 10 that even fit remotely.

These are new with tag and extra buttons.

Sizing notes: Basically the sizing is like that of Acne but more loose through the leg (it's straight, not very tapered). This particular pair are properly, sold as womens jeans, but if you are looking for a tight fit and are small-ish, you won't have many options with men's DRKSHDW. (The difference is in the rise: men's rise is 1.5" longer.) The fit model here wears 27 in Acne Hex, is 5'9", 119 lbs. In DRKSHDW, depending on the year of production, he can wear from 25 (in Berlin) to 29 (detroit.)

Color: color: Darkshadow - drk gray with undertones of mossy green and beige-ish.

Details: Plain back pockets (very important), no whiskering, nice, individual, distressing details...seam on inner thigh, unfinished hem, extra buttons, metal bits.

Measurements:

Fabrication: 89% cotton, 11% elastane. Medium weight overdyed denim. Will allow reasonable stretch if you want it.

ITEM: Hussein Chalayan Double Layer Shawl Cardigan sz IT 44 New / Tags

I've been a huge fan of Chalayan since I saw his debut show where dresses transformed into...wooden furniture. I felt that design would never be the same again (but I'll cop to feeling that often.) Truly an epic for the ages.

So, I buy a lot of Chalayan. Just cause I love it. Since I'm moving again, I'm getting (a little more practical). I bought this in a fit of wishful thinking because I love the double layer of differently woven knit so much. Alas, it is a size IT 44 (true, though it could accommodate, in reality, a 42, too) and so it will stay in fantasy-ville. From the absurdly wearable (for Chalayan) FW 2008.

Details: double layer shawl cardigan with embroidered stitching on seams. Roomy sleeves. Single, large snap closure. Last photo shows how, like my beloved CDG bouclé twist cardigan, it is knit in the shape of a circle. [heart] Keep in mind there is a shape has been knit in a nuanced way in the bust area to accommodate the womanly parts. My dress form is a size US 4, 34 B-C.

NEW SS 08 Unisex/Men's Ann D Raised Rib Border Cashmere Blend Cardigan sz L

YES, I can fit in this, so long as it is used as a layering piece. Otherwise, yes, it's too big. I'm moving, so someone else -- male or female -- should take it, but because of the arm size, specifically the shape of the shoulder opening, is large, I think it is more ideal for a man.

In the interest of full disclosure, I've never had a chance to wear it, but there are a couple of snags that can only be seen when the sweater is pulled taut and manifests as a "less raised" line in the raised rib. (the result of an encounter with its own tag and my wrap bracelet.) No holes. (I'll add more photos taken in day light. The knit technique used is particularly unique.) Color: butter.

I removed the tag temporarily because I think the tag lead to this snag -- threads are loose (not broken in the center of this photograph)

Here is how the loose threads appear on the outside face of the knit:

Fit notes: Frankly, depending on how tight or loose you'd like to wear your sweaters, this cardigan could fit XXS to the stated L size on the label, that is, 44-52. I am 5'4" 97 lbs and could pull this off if I so desired.

FS: Women's Lilies Heavy Jersey Draped Column Dress w/ Drop Back sz 38 NEW

Details Brand new Rick Owens heavy jersey long dress -- much more substantive heavy cotton blend jersey used in this dress. Has a dramatic and twisted back and a minimalist front with a slightly draped collar. Dark-shadow sheer heavy cotton-jersey dress with twisted detail at asymmetrical plunging back. This dress has a high neck, an unfinished hem and slips over the head. 70% rayon, 15% nylon, 15% cotton.

Size IT 38 but could fit IT 40 easily - is meant to be *slightly* over-sized

FS: Maison Martin Margiela 'Bone Mastic' Veg. Wax Treated Leather Sz 39 or 39.5

These are my favorite oxfords. They're so comfortable you can dispense with the usual "break-in" period. I loved mine so much that I bought a few pairs when this color/treatment was used last year for clients. Many are gone. Some remain. I have IT 39 and 39.5 fit absolutely true to size and will equal US 9 and 9.5 respectively.

The nubuck leather was treated with a vegetable wax that gives the leather an incredible, smooth hand-feel and further makes the shoe "glow," much as a pearl would sans iridescence.

FS: ANN D "GLASS" PRINT BLAZER w/ pkd lapel. XS NEW SS 09[/b]

This is a piped, tip peak lapel cotton blazer in a print called "glass." It's exactly the sort of thing Ann is known for when she's using prints, and it's exactly the thing that is intended for clever layering. (For example, to show the slightest print under a semi-sheer top or jacket.)

Mens SZ B/XS Belgium 46-48

Details: 3 pockets, piped and tipped peak lapel, no vent, no buttons at cuffs. Relaxed and casual. It is 100% cotton, but the cotton has the slightest touch of flannel to the hand feel. Single breasted. Pressing the collar can allow you to either wear it with a deep-v front or buttoned up to the top with the tips exaggerated. Color is most accurate in the image of the "fabric sample" below; that is, white is a bright white with no warm tone.

NEW MEN'S/Unisex ANN SS 09 3 Pocket Semi-Sheer Linen Blazer SZ XS, IT 44-46

This is a versatile that was shown on the runway both with nothing underneath and over bold prints that showed through in a nuanced way.

The linen is very heavy and substantial. The feel of the linen almost feels as if it was treated with a vegetable wax, or some such thing, under the hand.

There is one one eBay for $850 in a less desirable white! It made the most sense for me to keep this, and naturally, I wanted to. However, being an IT 36-38, I would have to do some -- an understatement -- alterations to it..

These are my spare 2 pocket leather pants - I bought them before I was able to track down a size more accommodating to me. I had an poorly thought out plan that would involve bringing suitcases of clothing to NYC to convince Zamb to alter them. Otherwise, I would just wait it out until an appropriate tailor could be found (there was an incident in 04 involving a RO kangaroo leather jacket that traumatizes to this day.)
