Doc Marten Achilles Tendon Pain?

So it's not a blister, and it's only on my right foot. Essentially it feels like when my foot is about to get off the ground, at the furthest point back in a step, the back of the boot is pushing down on my achilles tendon and it's pretty painfull. Thing is it's really on and off. Anyone else have that? Any ideas?

When I was into punk

I would wear them in the bathtub to soften them up, get most of the water out, and wear them until they pretty much dried so they would mold to my feet.

I don't know if this is realistic, but all the punk rock people did it, and it made the leather a lot more broken in.

Would it still work in cold winter weather?
