On the same page as the lads before me with the flagship denim really sturdy denim, can develop lots of character as well. Re rise: Even the 102s I had could have had more rise front and back, gets worse with the stiff denim... the 202s are the same cut, but it's less noticeable, because of the lacking stiffness of the denim.
-
I see the similarities to Denime XX but with a darker dye and tighter weave. I think the 101 would work well for you @beautiful_FrEaK.
-
I really like their flagship denim. Has some similarities to Denime's XX denim. At least in the early stages. I also considered the 101 from time to time. I would probably really like the more medium rise.
-
Their standard 15oz denim is my favourite denim. With FC a close second.
-
Yeah, they feel incredibly sturdy and seem to fade slowly. I can see them building some really nice contrast fading. I considered the rise given SDA's cuts, and went with size 31. While a 30 would have also fit in the waist, the top block would have definitely been a little small for me.
-
I very much appreciate you asking and the trust you put in me - thank you very much

I think it’s one of the best denims out there, very smooth and built to last, it would be great for a competition. I really enjoyed my pair although I wish the SD-101s had a slightly higher rise (back and front).

SD-101 for my first pair of SDA jeans. I've always loved the brand and love my shirts/tees/sweatshirts, but never had any of their denim. I love the way these fit and the denim is really nice.

At last I can shake off the shame of poorly matching belt and shoes...😉 Thanks @Duke Mantee I appreciate the effort you put in to get to the finished piece, very much looking forward to receiving it.
-
Not as much as you think - the earlier ones were catch up I hadn’t got ‘round to posting because of one thing or another
-
You've been quite busy @Duke Mantee

I think I saw that pair...or was it another one? At least one W35 was on Grailed for a bit steep price.
-
@beautiful_FrEaK got lucky and found an unworn one wash pair on grail! He ordered them from Japan but he sized wrong and they didn’t fit him.
-
I made a detailed review of the 3A-1-CR. I've wanted a 3A-1 for about a decade and since I own three interops jackets I knew I'd have to face that insane price point at some point in my life, so here I am!
-
I think he was grateful for any pair he was given.

Where did you buy them?

Another update, sorry for double posting today. Got the fly pieces attached, did the crotch seam, and did the first pass on the inseam. I have to wait to serge and topstitch the inseam because I want to baste the outseam and have him try them on first. That way I can let out some seam allowance if I need to before actually finishing the inseam. This denim is really trying the limits of my 201-2. I had some troublesome spots on the last pair but nothing as difficult as some of these seams have been. Maybe this is a sign to start shopping for an industrial machine lol. I'm happy with how quick these have come along. It's cool to know that barring fit checks I can definitely knock a pair out in a weekend. If it weren't for other plans and wanting to triple check the fit of these thighs then I'd be wrapping up tonight instead of leaving it where its at right now.

SOA03XXD size 35 en route…. seriously done buying jeans for a while now. Hahaha

Progress from the last couple days. Yokes are attached, backs are sewn, and rear pockets are attached. Front pockets are done too. I've had this gingham canvas for ages and I'm glad it's getting put to use now. My brother's name is Evan, so he wanted a lowercase e on the back pockets. He also wanted a purple tab (and purple serging and inseam topstitching to match later). Added a closeup of the bartacks which came out better than I expected.
