My recent trip to Japan yielded an obscene amount of jeans, at least enough to weather a 15-year storm, so I figured I needed to repurpose some pairs for summer so that I could still wear most of them, giving them the attention they deserve. I have always wanted a pair of Momo's, so I decided to cuff a wide-leg pair (originally 21" outseam but now running about 18" or so with cuff). I stitched them up, and after Boncoura's post, I'm planning on washing these pretty regularly to achieve similar results (more likely two years or several to achieve the same result).

I bought both pairs of Imperial 26 from Self Edge because I wasn't sure which direction I wanted to take for the Indigo Invitational. I settled with the ST. So, I decided to repurpose the 47 pair into shorts. I went with a 20" outseam and stitched up the seams myself. I did this previously with a pair of Imperials from the beginning, and was pretty happy with the results. I wear jeans more often than not so the process is slow with shorts but gets me psyched to wear shorts again, as opposed to wearing pre-distressed pairs. Unfortunately, I grew out of the ones below...

What do you fine people know about the John Gluckow brand? Is the quality on par with the rest of Warehouse?

Is anyone familiar with Industry of All Nations? They do a lot of indigo and iron dyed items: https://industryofallnations.com/collections/natural-dyes

The measurements will be different ‘pulled’ - that being the reason I asked, and unless you wear your denims very loose then I believe it’s necessary to acknowledge the full dimensions since that’s how they’ll fit your waist. I’ve posted many times previously on this … I’ve ALWAYS found FW to meet tag size, but clearly there are multiple methods of measurement. -
@Duke Mantee Double-checked: I made sure the before and after measurements were taken the same way: waist laid flat and spread out but not pulled while measuring. So the amount of shrinkage would be the same, pulled or not pulled. But the end measurement might be a little bigger when pulled.

Seconded. It's a great colour for matching dark brown shoes.

Thanks for the info, I have gone through the thread and I have figured some of the out. Just need to find out some info of lot 150. I am going to ask the seller but it might get lost in translation
-
162 also quite wide and straight legged with quite large rises - really comfortable - and also based on Levis, their interpretation of a late 30s model If you scroll through the thread, you'll see the fits on Smooth, me and other Sufu'ers which should help

This is by far the thickest belt I’ve decorated - J&FJ Baker oak tanned bridle @ nearly 15oz, with ultra heavy solid brass buckle, brass hardware, cobra overlays, onyx and tiger eye gemstones, and antique Japanese coin

I measure with the denims pulled tight across the waist -
It might be a little less drastic as it seems now lol. When I got them they measured 17 3/4 inch flat. Now, after wearing them around a year and with multiple soaks and 2 machine washes at 60 degrees celcius they measure just under 17 inch. Still, some notable shrinkage? Ofcourse they will stretch out a little but not to 17 3/4 I’m sure. Here’s an image, I can’t get it to show here, don’t know why: https://imgur.com/a/eG5Q52b

I’ve never had (or heard of) a pair of FW denims shrink like that - over 2 inches?! Wow -
Hi all I am looking to get a pair of denim but with little info anround and I need some advice on the the different fits. I have seen some of the fits and they are a little too wide for my liking. How would you describe Lot 147, 150, 161 and 162? thanks in advance
-
@frank I find them TTS as well. I own both ‘47 and ‘51 models and both are pretty TTS. However, my 36x32 ‘51 shrunk a little further after two machine washes on 60 degrees celcius. They measure a little under 34 inch now, will probably stretch to 34 or a little over with wearing. When I got these they measured just under 36 inch. Inseam is now around 31 inch.
