you're supposed to moisturize most leather. i do my jackets, but only about once or twice a year.

ps. most true leather articles should be conditioned. it used to be skin, you know. think about how yours dry out sometimes. how much worse would it be if you ceased to sweat and secrete natural oils altogether? yeah. less expensive new shoes can look a few hundred dollars upped just with some good conditioning. the tanners in london do odd things with cod liver oil and lard of sheep, and ive even heard of (regular) soap soaks and microwave-ovens.

dont touch rick leather jackets though, or obscur leather garments, or even some shoes...creams and conditioners can actually break down the particles that make up the 'fabric' thus making it stretched the hell out, losing shape, or showing discolouration (obscur does this. maybe he napp'd the cowhide?? anyone know?), etc etc.
