record stores/ trade etc in NY

im heading west again soon, but this will be my first visit to ny, and wanted to no of any decent record stores, second hand new etc... i know virgin tower records etc, but want to know aobut indepentant ones of any stature.... can some of u help us out on this?

Other Music is essential if youre into music that isnt dance or hip hop (theyve got a website if you wanna see what music it sells), Kims Video or something like that is pretty good. plus across the street from OM is a tower records and a tower records world music shop. There are some other really good shops around but OM is the best imo. Anyways, there are some good hip hop stores in brooklyn/bronx i dont know the names, but maybe someone else does...
