Helmut Lang Fit

Are there any other brands I should be looked at besides APC and maybe Dior Homme (are these slimmer?)

I have yet to find a brand that fit as well as my pairs of HL :(

The reason why I ask is none of these brands are available in the Toronto area (APC coming soon?), so to purchase them online, I'd want to know about the specifics regarding fit.

My size is 32" waist (although I wear 34" for washed denim) -- 34" length.

i agree, and i think that a lot of others will that HL is one of the best cuts/jeans ever.

As for fit, you have to provide more specifics

ie. what cut are your HLs?

what APC style do you want to buy, what size Diors are you buying?

APC has cuts that are both slimmer and wider than HL, and Diors are generally slimmer.

My HLs are the low waist slims, and they have a similar fit to the APC new standards but more tapered. The HLs are a 32 waist, and the new standards are a 29 waist, my true waist is about a 31.

My HLs are both classic, straight leg fits --

HRS001 RUY C/00520 (34/34 washed light blue denim)

HRS001 RUZ C/00521 (34/34 washed medium blue denim)

The exact cut isn't indicated on these... but they are a straight leg.

As for other brands, in Dior, I was thinking of a raw denim, or simple washed (no fancy treatments) and I don't really have a preference in APC.

Just looking for a similar fit to HL.

yeah, those have been sold out for a little while now.

as for similar cuts to HL straight leg, i'd say you're in between the APC rescue which is a slight bootleg, and the APC new standard, which is "slightly" tapered.
