Hey, I've just moved to San Francisco not long ago and I desperately need to get a haircut! Is anyone here from SF? I've seen tons and tons of barbers, salons, beauty parlors and the "so called" salons as well but just dunno which one to go into! Someone please recommend me a place to get a good cut...I'm a guy and no I don't want some awful cheap mediocre barber look. Pls help.

The salon's style IMO tends to be associated with the neighborhood they're in. If you are more of a Union Square person (and work in Financial District) Cinta on Grant is a nice place. I've never been but also have never heard complaints!

Oxenrose on Hayes has been around for a bit. Hip styles and always busy it seems. I used to go there but I wasn't feeling how a cut got more expensive every time I went back. Maybe just in my case but overall nice salon. Hairplay on Delores is also a nice salon. Very relaxed atmosphere in outer Noe Valley.

Hope this helps.

www.citysearch.com should have all those addresses for you.

Cinta is on the same street Banana Republic and K.Cole are on (Grant/Geary). I believe its above the Miss sixty/Energie boutique.

Prices range from $40-$60 + tip for men's cuts around most Salons in SF.
