What do you do about supermassive black holes?

I have a supermassive black hole that just formed on my galaxy and one on my Messier 32 that has been there for a while. I was wondering what people do to stop these from taking over. I dared to ask on Yahoo! Answers a while ago, but no one replied there. :0

I would like to still put my planet in my galaxy even though there is a black hole there already. I was wondering if there is any way to patch the whole supermassive black hole so that collapsing stars will stop wearing down my galaxy but still show the density from the hole itself. If anyone wants pictures I can get them, but I hope you know what I'm talking about. I'm really, really looking forward to a response. Thanks anyone and everyone~
