Patent Leather Oxford Fits

I'm thinking of buying a pair of patent leather oxfords because I've got my eyes on a pair for a pretty awesome deal. I'm wondering if they're really acceptable to wear in a more casual environment as they're traditionally known for being paired with a tuxedo. I'll most likely wear them with a regular black suit when the time is right but I'd like to try them with other pieces on a more casual basis.

Post some fits of du's wearing dem shoes or suggestions of what would look good wit em.
