Ebay would definately have them. I ran across one the other night while searching for a very specific vintage t-shirt.

I don't think wearing one is a good idea. At a concert I went I saw too many hippsters and emo kids wearing them to count. It's not that original.

Hmm im not emo nor do i think I'm much of a hipster. I just wanted it as a change of pace from the more traditional shirts i have.

I just don't think an actual boyscout shirt is the way to go unless you modifty it in a fashionable and unique way (for example changing the buttons, tailoring, removal of some unecessary parts of the uniform, distressing, ect...).

Your attitude towards Abercrombie having a design based on one is "Ehhhh" just like my additude toward hippster / emo kids having actual ones is "Ehhhh".

The "ehhh" factor was more about it being the last resort. I've bought a few shirts from AF within the last year and just wanted to expand a bit. (besides they didn't have that particular color in stock at the store).

If i got a boy scout standard issue one i would take off the unneccessary patches and modify it to more of a slim fit.

ive got a diesel one from a couple years ago... blue with no pockets... says "super shirt"... fucking love it... dont think you can find one anywhere tho
