one of my close friends..when i first met her eight years ago i seriously thought she was a he. she had super short hair, dressed in baggy un-feminine clothes and overall had a boyish hk playful kind of vibe.. turns out it was just a phase.

i don't put much stock into appearances when trying to determine whether someone is gay or not anymore..

that's the thing about it with a lot of them...it's just a "phase". I feel they are not doing any respect to the gay culture as a whole, treating it like some kind of game. I think it's more of a social/cultural phenomenon rather than part of the legitimate discussion on nature/nurture issue re: homosexuality. But in this case it's obviously nurture taking precedence...

you know what else i find intriguing...the idea of "normal" that is so normal it is so in a perverse and twisted way. Like the idea LK at SF once mentioned about someone dressed up in a really stiff looking proper suit and watching a graphic porn video while remaining expressionless.
