buzz rickson vs. sugarcane

i'm in the states, historypreservation.com has both brands of denim, but the buzz's are much more expensive.

are they that much more superior?

plus, has anyone ordered a rickson sweatshirt or work shirt from historypres? if so, how are they?

sugar canes makes buzz rickson. i'm assuming it's just a difference of style and name. history preservation are nice people. remember to order your true size, even for raw.

has anyone tried ordering from them the 'hawaii' jeans everyone's raving about?

I have it on good authority that both are made by Toyo, but I don't know why the Ricksons cost more. I am assuming a more expensive manufacturing process for whatever reason.

the only difference I see behind the price is that Ricksons have a "Union Made/Approved" tag.

I too wonder why they cost $100 more.

Hello everyone. I've been lurking here for quite some time and really appreciate the knowledge and information available on this site.

Anyhow, historypreservation designates the Buzz Rickson's as "natural indigo" and ascribes no such designation to the Canes. I'm guessing that this could account for some of the difference in price, but I could be wrong.
