Croatia in late june/july

Due to the larger amount of tourists and bigger dependancy on tourism, prices have gone up quite a bit in recent years. June/July is a perfect time to go and enjoy the coast. Head to Split, Sibenik, Dubrovnik, Zadar and Zagbeb (which is north).

You can get a room in a hotel for around $140-280 a night in the upper class hotels but you can grab a room owned by a local for under $50 a night with food. Most of the locals are friendly and generous. Everyday goods can be a bit difficult to find, I was there in winter and had to go to 6 stores to find some strawberry jam. Other items such as booze, smokes and most foods are very easy to find. Prices depend on the town, Dubrovnik can be VERY expensive during this time though.
