Espresso Cups

I'm looking for some cool espresso cups. Anyone got any ideas?

cool as in cool "looking" or cool as in nice thick porcelain to hold heat well, etc? or both?

the illy "designer" cups are nice...there have been some really interesting ones over the years. the "plain" illy cups (made by ipa) look nice and are thick and retain heat well...i use those, despite the fact that i don't use illy beans.

When I was in Amsterdam last year, I saw some ceramic ones with a plastic colored ring around the middle, in several stores. I wish I had bought them. Anyone know where I can buy these ?

those are way to big. espresso has to be small, black and strong. i have a set of small, completely black ones. fit the coffee

also, cosign on illy cups, they have nice ones

After looking a little bit, Alessi seems to have a good selection of well made cups. I know which Illy cups you guys are referring to and I agree that they are nice. I certainly don't mind plain illy cups but if I can find cooler looking cups that still hold all of the properties of a good espresso cup, I'd be psyched.

These cups are nice and definitely different than your average espresso cups.

2nd on the Bodum. Definitely some of the most versatile glassware around for very hot/cold beverages. A bit fragile though.
