cool hotel in portland?

i'm visiting portland for the weekend, and wondering if there's any rad hotel i should check in.

please tell me if you know of any!

i'm hoping for something not too posh, but nice and clean like ace in seattle. (but suggest me of posh places anyways if it's worth checking out!)

portland doesn't have a hotel as cool as the ace but here are a few good options:

KENNEDY SCHOOL: old school converted into a hotel, movie theater ($3 movies), restaurant,

and bar, in ne portland, (not a good choice if you don't have a car).

if you want budget, or to meet other travelers, there is a youth hostel in nw 23rd

I ended up camping on the beach at the oregon coast, because it was so nice out...
