Tailoring question (trenchcoat)

Hello. Hopefully there's someone who knows tailoring and alterations inside-outside who'll read this post.

I am wondering how feasible it is to significantly reduce the size and fitting of a trenchcoat -- narrowing the width of the arms (which have buckles around the wrists), taking in the shoulders (which have epaulettes attached at the shoulder seam) and the sides (awkward panelling that meet the side seams and pockets close by) ... basically taking the whole coat down by at least one size. I often have shirts, suit jackets and the like taken down a size or two, but never a garment of this size or complexity. Any suggestions? I'm in London.
