Nudie backpocket stitching

Never seen a pair of Nudie RR in person but judging from pictures online, I really like the fit but hate the backpocket stitching.

1) Are the backpocket details just stitched on and if so, can they be easily removed? I'm hoping to to purchase a pair and remove the stitching.

2) How does the waist size and fit compare to the Levi's Skinner/517s? I'm a size 31 but had to go up to a 33 for a pair of Levi's Premium Skinner Rigid. I also have a pair of 5EPs in size 31 but that has stretched out too much for my liking. Confusing.

you can rip them out with a seam ripper.

Btw, I only used the Skinner for comparison because the cut fits me well and since the RR are described as/looks like bootcuts (no?). If other jeans are more similar to the RRs, do tell.

i have a pair of skinners in 32" waist that fit rather loose, which is quite similar to my pair of nudie RR's in a 31" waist (which is loose also). so i'd say go down an inch from your skinners to be closest to the nudie waist, yet to still have room (loose fit). 2" if you want them snug/fit.

skinners and nudies are way different, skinners are very tight on the thigh with a massive flare, at least for me at 28-30. Nudies are very big in the thigh with a very light flare.
