Does anybody have any experience with these jeans? I know they are raw, and I dont think they are selvege. They look pretty nice and for $60.

how can you tell if something is raw or not raw?

Raw (dry) denim will be extremely stiff, dark in colour, often with high lustre. If you look at the hems - on dry jeans the hems will be virtually flat. If they have been washed the the hems will show a bit of roping (crinkling/twisting).

they suck. i bought a pair because i thought they looked comparable to the "big ol' jeans" stussy had out in the early nineties.

really cheap denim. i gave them to my sisters boyfriend who doesnt know any better.

i've had bad luck with stussy jeans. of all the jeans i've ever owned, these wore out the fastest. big johns were the second fastest, but damn i miss those jeans.

How could you tell the denim was cheap?

Honestly for 60$ they are not that bad. It gives you a viable option to getting Levis 501xx.

well, they most certainly arent 14 oz. denim as advertised. they may be 10, 11oz max. the stitching is really slipshod and the fit is horrendous. they are a rip off at $60. go buy shrink to fits for $35 at Mervyns or Sears. Cant go wrong.

yes, i agree. The denim felt lighter than 14oz. but I didn't notice the stitching. And, the legs ARE quite tapered.. I agree the the 501s fit much better, but that's just my taste. I'm sure the stussy's are quite baggier.
