raw denim for short guys

hey guys, im about 5'4 and 125 lbs and im trying to buy a pair of nice jeans, but i have no idea what to get when im this short. i know hemming the jeans is an option, but id personally rather not. stacking is cool and all, but i dont want too much.

im looking for a slimmer fit, not skinny, skin tight. do any of you guys have brand or jean recommendations for someone like me? im willing to spend $300, but I REALLY want to limit my spending to around $200.

im gonna be heading down to soho this weekend, so any help by then would be awesome

If you're going to soho check out Blue in Green (http://www.blueingreensoho.com) and get a pair that you like that is quite possibly going to be a straight leg jean and they can chainstitch hem it for you at a length you like in store. Done.

There's really no reason why you shouldn't get whatever jeans you want hemmed as long as they haven't been pre-distressed, but I'd go for Tisswat's thais if i were you. They're fantastic value and wear in like a dream if you treat them right.

Just buy the denim you fancy like any other guy of any height.

Buy the one that makes you look good, feel good, or feel tall. I'm not tall myself. Just get them hemmed. It's totally alright and often times quite unavoidable (except if you want hardcore stacking).

Just go and try on stuff go the the tailor and get it done. Good luck! Cheers!

no need to act like you got some kind of weird disability. buy whichever jeans you like the most and find a tailor who knows how to hem jeans properly.

uniqlo does free alterations, im pretty sure they have some raw denim (although it seemed sorta limited last i checked)

i'm only just 5'7" (yeah....5'6"+)

All denims will be long, basically... as others said, find a pair that suits you best, and either cuff'em, or do the easy thing and get them hemmed...

dann, out of all the denim i own, two of them came pretty short in one-wash states: omnigod 50-052a and 45rpm umii.

omnigod, in fact, is a perfect length for me and i'm 5'7 135lbs. but they aren't sold here in the states as far as i know. and umiis will blow your budget.
