Lee 101B 1944 (made in Japan)

Hello all, I recently went on a trip to London. While there, I had the chance to pick up

these Lee 101B's. From what I can tell, they're the Japanese versions recreated by

Edwin. They are the 101 Button model, with full LHT selvage denim. Half lined back

pockets, first lazy "S" styling on back pockets, crotch rivet, inside patch, the works.

(NOTE: All the above is from what I found out about these jeans, if you have any other input

about the jeans, or me being completely wrong, post up!)

Now the pictures:

I used to think these were the bees knees till I had a thorough grounding in all other things Japanese. They're shallow dyed hence are very light blue raw and fade *very* easily. Plus the question mark over inseam, tagged 33 but they measure more like 38 and Aero reckon they eventually shrink to that

They do fit well and I love the general construction and the line-less white selvedge but for £150 you could have had your pick of jeans that light up eyes in every department.

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but don't Lees typically not shrink?

to my knowledge, sanforized lee's don't shrink, but on that one website that i listed,

they state that the length of the jeans will shrink. fuck if i really understand though lol

i did notice the light color of the raw denim, but from what i heard these jeans will

hold they're color really well - as in won't fade exceptionally easy. but, if u had

personal experience, then that's another story. i'm a big fan of lee jeans, and pretty

damn happy that i was able to find a pair of these =)

as for the length of the jeans, they are no way 33 in length - they're extremely long

and if what aero's website said is correct, im going to have to shrink these down...

is there anybody out there that knows this for sure?

Hello,I ve got almost all of the japanese Lee repros. They hardly shrink and they are a bit grey when raw but get darker blue after soaking because the color will open up.Very nice jeans I think one of the best if you like originals.Just received the 1920 model very nice.
