Nudie "flame effect" Straight Sven question

Does anyone have any experience wearing these in? I wore mine lightly for about 6 months, washed them once, and now they look absolutely terrible; crinkled up, fuzzy, and the seams seem to be unevenly stretched. I gather that they're more loosely woven than the normal SS, so the dye settles unevenly, but I've worn them 5 or 6 times since I washed them, and I feel like I want to just throw them out.
