What do you think of this brand?

They are selling some of their stuff at Macy's....bought a button up short- sleeve shirt the other weekend. Some of their clothes are nice, but some of its also kinda weak....

I got some modern amusement tees a few years ago and I have to say the quality was crap. the designs were fine and I kinda like the "vibe" of this label...but they need to put someone in charge of quality control.

^ they did, about a year and a half ago.

their brand was so much stronger before that.. but then, thats just the fashion-snob in me who thinks everything was better before it sold out. regardless, now when I think of Modern Amusement , I think of Orange County beach brats.

i agree with bobby on this one...i believe they were bought out by Mossimo or something to that effect...but i may be wrong...i use to really feel Modern Amusement...t-shirts weren't really that great in quality, but the rest of the line was nice...once they sold the company, quality of apparel really went down...everythign started looking and feeling cheap...designs were absolutely horrible...the only decent thing they did was the collab with medium footwear, but that might have been before the takeover...

went to their booth at asr in sandiego, some of it looked okay then saw the stuff at urban. sucked bad,

When we used to carry this line @ carve, the stuff was pretty good. I still like some of their stuff, but I could care less for others (OC Shirt???)

Yes, they DID get bought out by Mossimo. I have a great shirt from them from about 2 years ago. Cool fabric, interesting details. Everything since then has been wildly inconsistent. Though I bought a sweater that I've been happy with about 6 months ago. Their latest line, I agree, is no good.

they had a store in costa mesa, and then later opened another one in newport beach @ fashion island. Those both closed down, I also know they had a store in LA, but I'm not sure if that one exists still either...
