NYC Night Life

Okay .. so myself and a friend are turning 21 this week and would like to go to some bars and clubs Friday night, any suggestions?

I'm open to any kind of music, but my friend isn't too fond of hip hop, if that helps with ideas.

I can't say I know shit about what the current "hot spots" in NYC are, but when I was there for a week in November I went to at least 15 different clubs/bars and I had by far the most fun at McSorley's:

It is the oldest bar in NYC, they kick you out if you are drinking too slow, there is a cool crowd, beer is affordable, it has a great atmosphere, and is in East Village. Plus, it is pretty sweet watching the bartender bring you 50 mugs of beer all at once.........

Cielo is such a cool spot, chic & trendy looking but totally music driven. Small place with an amazing staff and crown and the best house music you could want! Its on Little West 12th.

If you like the big rooms I guuess you can check out Crobar or Pacha.
